Meyer Steps Down At Zeaborn

Co-founder Resigns After Six Years

Ove Meyer, co-founder of breakbulk shipping line Zeaborn, has resigned as managing director with immediate effect.

“This is now a good time to withdraw from the operational business. Over the next few months, I will be taking a break to look after some other important matters that have been short-changed over the past couple of years. Thereafter, I will pursue some new challenges,” Meyer said.

Dominik Stehle, Nicki Schumacher and Frank Fischer will take over management of subsidiary Zeamarine, while Rob Grool, Michael Brandhoff and Erik Kruse will take over at sister company Zeaborn Ship Management.

Headquartered in Bremen in the north of Germany, Zeaborn is a global, integrated shipping company that operates a combined fleet of around 50 multipurpose vessels. The firm has completed a number of acquisitions in recent years, including Rickmers-Line, Rickmers Ship Management, E.R. Schiffahrt, HC Chartering, Intermarine and CPO Tankers.
