Vestas to Build Tra Vinh Intertidal Project

Danish wind power specialist Vestas has secured a development contract for the Tra Vinh V1-3 intertidal wind farm in Vietnam.

The engineering, procurement and construction contract covers installation of 12 V150-4.2 MW wind turbines. The agreement also includes 20-year Active Output Management 5000 service.

“We are thrilled to secure our second EPC intertidal project in Vietnam, which showcases the trust that our customers have in our capabilities across the full range of projects including intertidal which are located in complex and challenging environments,” said Clive Turton, president of Vestas Asia Pacific.

Based in Aarhus, Denmark, Vestas is the largest wind turbine manufacturer in the world and has seen a recent growth in orders from Asia.
