Blue Water Secures Baku Contract


Breakbulk Transport for Heydar Aliyev Expansion

Project cargo shipping line Blue Water has received a contract for several out-of-gauge transports in Baku, Azerbaijan.

The project entails shipment of components for the SOCAR Heydar Aliyev Oil Refinery expansion project and will be carried out on behalf of an Italian engineering, procurement and construction company based in Milan. The project will be delivered in partnership with Kerry Logistics, and involve part transport goes via Russian Inland Waterways.

“This exciting project involves several Blue Water offices worldwide, and we strongly benefit from our experience in handling projects to the Caspian region as well as our local presence and expertise,” said Anders Maul, Blue Water’s regional manager Europe, oil, gas and industrial projects.

Blue Water operates 55 offices in more than 26 countries worldwide and is headquartered in Esbjerg on the west coast of the Jutland peninsula in southwest Denmark.
