Finance and Innovation for the Blue Economy
A trio of breakbulk cargo associations have announced support for investment in a "blue economy" and support for a new sustainable freight shipping sector.
The Worldwide Project Consortium, or WWPC, Cargo Equipment Experts, or CEE, and Priority Cargo Network all attended the Sustainable Ocean Summit in Paris, hosted by the World Ocean Council, or WOC. Discussion was focused on the theme of “Investing in Ocean Futures: Finance and Innovation for the Blue Economy.”
"The World Ocean Council plays an important role to bring awareness and stimulate cooperation to all parties invested towards a cleaner future,” said Wolfgang Karau, network director at WWPC.
The summit was the first time that a secretary of state, from the host country, delivered a speech at the event, and drew more than 350 participants from 30 countries.
