Mammoet to Install Jubail Modules

First Cargo Delivered to Saudi EO/EG Plant

Cargo specialist Mammoet has been awarded a contract to install 49 modules for an ethylene oxide–ethylene glycol plant in Saudi Arabia.

The contract from Samsung Engineering has to date involved transport of eight pipe rack modules, ranging in weight between 450 and 650 tonnes, and a 2,000-tonne wash tower. Transport of the remaining modules and installation activities will continue through to December 2019.

“Mammoet worked closely with the Saudi Traffic Police to minimize disruption to local roads and obtained all required permits from the Royal Commission and the High Commission for Industrial Security well in advance,” a spokesperson for Mammoet said.

Mammoet provides a range of heavy-lift services including project cargo transportation, logistics planning and crane rental from its headquarters in Schiedam in the Netherlands.
