MAMQ Delivers CAT Gensets

Cargo carrier MAMQ has delivered three CAT HFO GenSets from Karachi to the Suki Kinari Hydropower Project in Kaghan, Pakistan.

The over-dimensional units each weighed 100 tonnes and were moved by road to the site in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province. MAMQ arranged all logistics including reinforcement of bridges and roads as well as other route clearances.

"The journey crossed through the Northern area of rigid terrain at an altitude of 12,000 feet above sea level in the Kaghan Valley. The three GenSets were transported on a Goldhofer THPSL Modular Trailer with each one on 8-axle lines with a "push and pull" configuration due to the higher gradient and many steep turns on the high-altitude terrain,” said Wasim Abbasi, project manager at MAMQ.

MAMQ is a member of the Project Cargo Network in Pakistan. PCN represents members in 105 countries and recently said it secured collaborations with more than 100 exhibitions in the past 12 months.
