BIFA Expands Young Forwarders Network

Development of Future Freight Forwarding Ambassadors

The British International Freight Association has expanded its Young Forwarder Network, announcing the establishment of a number of regional UK initiatives.

Formally launch in March last year, the organization has concluded events in four UK regions and is considering how best to add groups in other UK areas.

“We have had a really good response to the launch of the YFN and each event has assisted in the development of future freight forwarding ambassadors and leaders for the sector,” said Carl Hobbis, BIFA’s training development manager.

BIFA is run by its members and represents UK breakbulk operators and companies engaged in the international movement of freight. All apprentices participating in the International Freight Forwarding Specialist Apprenticeship scheme automatically receive membership of the YFN.
