BIFA Highlights UK Grant Scheme

(Europe) £16 million in Funding to Support Training

The British International Freight Association has called on UK firms to take up £16 million in grant funding to support training and growth.

The government approved grants were announced in October 2019, and offer an additional round of funding for employee training and IT improvements for customs intermediaries, traders and hauliers.

“Increased capacity in this sector will be important whatever the nature of our future relationship with the EU,” said Robert Keen, director general of BIFA.

BIFA is an industry association run by its members and represents UK breakbulk operators and companies engaged in the international movement of freight.
