(Oceania) 1,000 Oversize Components

Transport specialist Bolloré Logistics has delivered a consignment of 1,000 oversize wind components for the Goldwind Moorabool Windfarm Project in Victoria, Australia.

The breakbulk shipment involved discharge, handling and inland delivery of turbine blades, measuring nearly 69 meters long, and tower components weighing more than 100 tons each.

“Specialized handling and transport equipment were required along with careful planning and close liaison with road authorities,” a spokesperson for Bolloré said.

Bolloré Logistics is a subsidiary of French industrial conglomerate Bolloré, headquartered in Puteaux, on the western outskirts of Paris. The firm is an exhibitor at Breakbulk events.
