47-tonne Shipment from Genoa, Italy
Freight expert DC Logistics Brasil has transported a shipment of project cargo from Italy to Brazil.
The breakbulk consignment consisted of a wooden box weighing 47 tonnes and measured 8 meters long and 3 meters high and wide. An additional 20-foot flat–rack and 40-foot high-cube were loaded at embarkation in Genoa, Italy.
“The cargo needed to be loaded as breakbulk, and as the containers needed to be shipped together and …the whole shipment was loaded on a liner container vessel … At Itajai Port, the heavy wooden box was unloaded directly onto a truck to avoid cargo handling and reduce damage risks,” a DC Logistics spokesperson said.
DC Logistics is a member of the Project Cargo Network, which connects pre-qualified forwarders in more than 100 countries.
