Mammoet Awarded Texas Refinery Contract


LR13000 heavy-lift

Cargo specialist Mammoet is to provide breakbulk transport services for an expansion project at Beaumont, Texas refinery.
 
The project will involve barging, transport and setting of modules up to 1,360 tonnes as well as reactors and columns weighing more than 1,100 tonnes. Cargo will be moved using Mammoet’s LR13000, the largest crawler crane in the world.

“The heavy-lift and transport development strategy we have shared with TechnipFMC and ExxonMobil will allow us to provide an efficient solution and offer the best possible execution strategy for this project,” said John Rowe, project sales director for Mammoet Americas.

Headquartered in Schiedam in the Netherlands, Mammoet provides a range of services from transportation and logistics planning to heavy lift and crane rental.
