Wangfoong Delivers Hong Kong Transformers

Three Units By Derrick barge

Project cargo firm Wangfoong Transportation has discharged three heavy transformers from a breakbulk vessel at anchorage in Hong Kong harbor area.

The transformers each weighed 170 tonnes and measured 7 meters long, 5 meters wide and 5 meters high. They were unloaded to derrick barge under hook before shipment to a delivery site where they were transferred to eight-axle bogie and trailers.

“Wangfoong provided experienced staff and a 500-ton mobile crane for cargo unloading and positioning of the transformers with a jacking system,” a spokesperson for the firm said.

Based in Hong Kong, Wangfoong is a member of the Worldwide Project Consortium, which represents freight forwarders and breakbulk companies worldwide.
