WSS Transports Port Handling Equipment

Logistics provider Wilhelmsen Ships Service has transported a cargo of port handling equipment from the UAE to Bangladesh.

The consignment comprised 23,400 tonnes of equipment with two sets weighing 180 tonnes and measuring 30 meters in length, 13 meters in width and 30 meters in height. ​

“Wilhelmsen's scope of work included identifying suitable tonnage to meet the draft restrictions and lifting capacity for loading the cargo and providing full visibility of vessel position from prearrival at load port until unloading at destination,” a spokesperson for WSS said.

WSS is a subsidiary of Norwegian maritime industry group Wilh. Wilhelmsen Holding. Headquartered in Lysaker, Norway, ,the group employs about 17,600 people and is a member of the Project Cargo Network.
