Baggio Delivers Telescopic Gangway

(Latin America-Europe) Shipment to Karmsund, Norway

Logistics firm Baggio Transportes has transported a telescopic gangway from Brazil to Norway.

The complex project involved loading of three breakbulk pieces, each measuring more than 10 meters in height, in Rio de Janeiro. From there the dismantled was shipped to Karmsund, Norway.

“The cargo was re-exported after being used on a pipe laying support vessel that is currently operating in the offshore pre-salt fields. [The project] posed an interesting challenge in terms of the lashing and securing onboard of the oceangoing vessel,” a spokesperson for Baggio said.

Based in Brazil, Baggio Transportes is a member fo the WCA network, a breakbulk association representing project forwarders around the world. WCA is an exhibitor at Breakbulk events.
