Central Oceans Moves Tunneling Machinery

(Asia) Smart Sewage System Construction

Freight forwarder Central Oceans has transported a set of tunneling machinery for a sewerage system project in Singapore.

The equipment was moved in multiple shipments as part of construction of a deep tunnel sewerage system. Once complete the tunnels will feed sewage from the South and West of the island state into the new Tuas Water Reclamation Plant.

“The new design will not require elaborate pumping stations thanks to an appropriately planned gradient with the sewage in the tunnels flowing to the destination by itself. Central Oceans are very proud to be part of this great project in Singapore and look forward to seeing the tunnels in action,” a spokesperson for Central Oceans said.

Headquartered in Hong Kong, Central Oceans is a member of the Project Cargo Network, which represents ISO 9001 and ISO 14001-certified project cargo and heavy-lift specialists in more than 110 countries.
