Delta Maritime Moves Baku Cargo

Process Equipment Weighing 200 Tonnes

Logistics providers Delta Maritime has delivered a set of heavy process equipment from Greece to Baku, Azerbaijan.

The cargo weighed 200 tonnes and comprised units measuring 65 meters long and more than 5 meters in diameter. The consignment is part of a wave of new energy and transport projects in Greece as the firm predicts increased breakbulk demand for thermal power plants, renewables, electric power networks, subsea HV interconnectors and natural gas pipelines.

“The exploration era is about to start up in Greece with the first oil and gas offshore explorations at RFI stage while the East Mediterranean is already a mature market with six to nine offshore wells scheduled already for 2020,” a spokesperson for Delta Maritime said.

Delta Maritime is a member of the Project Cargo Network, a breakbulk association of ISO 9001 and 14001 certified project cargo and heavy-lift specialists.
