(Asia) Transport Faces Covid-19 Challenges

Project cargo firm Freight Connection has delivered a waste heat power generation system from China to Pakistan.

The complex consignment involved handling in Shanghai and shipment to Karachi during the height of the pandemic shutdowns. The assembly components and auxiliary steel structure for the power generation system were then transported 1,283 kilometers by road to the final site.

“The project, which was a real challenge during this Covid-19 outbreak [but] the dedicated project team made it possible by closely coordinating with a foreign agent and working non-stop to make it successful,” a spokesperson for Freight Connection Pakistan said.

Freight Connection Pakistan is a member of the breakbulk operator network WCA Projects, which connects heavy-transport providers worldwide.
