Water Tank Shipped for 2022 World Cup
Cargo specialist Hemisphere Freight Services has transported a breakbulk water tank from the UK to Qatar, ahead of the 2022 World Cup.
The outsized tank weighed 7.5 tonnes and measured 17 meters long, and 4 meters wide and high. The cargo was collected from Shrewsbury with extended low-loader trailer and delivered to Southampton port before being shipped to Hamad port in Qatar.
“It may only seem like yesterday that World Cup fever was in full swing, but preparations for the 2022 tournament in Qatar are already underway. And Hemisphere have been getting involved by arranging the shipping of an underground tank manufactured by a UK company,” a spokesperson for Hemisphere said.
Based in the UK, Hemisphere Freight Services is a member of the WCA network, which connects breakbulk providers in more than 180 countries.
