The specially equipped trucks were loaded in in the Midwest and driven to Baltimore where they were prepared for ocean freight to Zarate port in the east of Argentina. From there the cargo was moved by road to Punta Quilla.
“Each unit weighed 35 tons and measured more than 13 meters long and 4 meters tall. The road transport in Argentina covered 2,400 kilometers from arrival port to the final destination of Punta Quilla,” a spokesperson for IFS said.
IFS and Inter American Cargo are members of the WCA cargo forwarding network, which connects breakbulk operators worldwide.
