The breakbulk vessel weighed 800 tonnes and was moved via Alberta state highways using six trucks and two double 26-line intercombi trailers to transport the vessel.

“The splitter vessel is the biggest load to ever be moved on Alberta’s highways is a key part of the process at Inter Pipeline’s Heartland Petrochemical Complex where propane will be converted into recyclable plastic pellets,” a spokesperson for Mammoet said.
