AAL Delivers San Jose Transformer
Transport services provider AAI Worldwide Logistics delivered a transformer unit from Manila Port to a substation in San Jose, Phillipines.
The over-dimensional power component weighed 140 tonnes and measured 9 meters long, 3 meters wide and 5 meters high. It was received via roll-on, roll-off vessel at the port and transported by road to the substation, operated by National Grid of the Philippines.
“The transformer was using an eight-line multi-axle and vessel bridge to avoid vertical obstructions due to the cargo's height,” a spokesperson for AAI said.
Headquartered in Parañaque, Philippines, AAI is a member of the Project Cargo Network, a global breakbulk association with members in more than 100 countries.
