Ace Launches Sri Lanka Operation
Logistics firm Ace Cargo has expanded its presence in Sri Lanka, launching a new division to handle air and sea freight.
The new operation will be based in Sri Lanka’s capital city Colombo and will include services such as project cargo handling, packaging and relocation. The unit will be headed by Chandana Jirasinha.
“Sri Lanka is a very important region, acting as a transshipment hub for the Indian Subcontinent, and regarded as the southernmost gateway to Africa, the Middle East, and East Asia. Our expertise and knowledge of the Sri Lankan market is unparalleled, and we are delighted to be expanding our service offerings here,” Jirasinha said.
Operating 19 branch offices in Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Myanmar and the Maldives, Ace is a member of the WACO System, which comprises more than 100 independent forwarders worldwide.
