(Americas) Cargo Bound for Gulf of Mexico
Heavy-transport firm Berard has moved an offshore deck and jacket package for a project in the Gulf of Mexico.
The overdimensional units were transported using 36 axle lines of SPMTs and were loaded using ramps and winch trucks. The deck unit weighed 1,139 tonnes and the jacket a further 560 tonnes.
“The team had previously offloaded this same package last year for refurbishment and further outfitting … It was great to see a new project headed to the Gulf of Mexico in these trying economic times,” a spokesperson for Berard said.
Headquartered in New Iberia, Louisiana, Berard provides a range of services throughout the southern U.S. for project cargo and super heavy transport. The firm is an exhibitor at Breakbulk Americas.
