(Americas) EFT Ship to Dry Dock
Project cargo specialist Berard has transported the naval vessel USNS Newport to launch site in Alabama.
The 2,200-tonne expeditionary fast transport ship was loaded from the client’s final assembly bay to deck barge. Berard oversaw travel down the Mississippi river for transloading to 800-foot floating dry dock.
“As usual, the transload went smoothly thanks to all involved. With the team’s hard work and dedication, the job was completed in only one day,” a Berard spokesperson said.
Headquartered in New Iberia, Louisiana Berard provides breakbulk services throughout the southern U.S. for heavy-lift and super-heavy transport.
