Bohnet Delivers boiler modules

Cargo specialist Bohnet has delivered nine boiler modules from across Europe to a power plant project in Kent, UK.

The outsized units were loaded in Austria, Poland, and Bulgaria, and transported as priorty cargo via the English Channel. Bohnet arranged shipment of the heaviest parts via roll-on, roll-off pontoons, and the lighter parts via ro-ro ferries.

“Upon arrival in Dordrecht, the loaded vehicles were moved onto the ro-ro with special pontoons, which continued on calm waters across the North Sea to Sheerness,” a spokesperson for the firm said. 

Based in Germany, Bohnet is a member of the Project Logistics Alliance, which connects about 200 pre-qualified project forwarders in 114 countries.
