(Europe) Carrier Buy Rate Comparison
The European Association for Forwarding, Transport, Logistics and Customs Services, or CLECAT, has signed an agreement with consultancy Drewry to participate in its freight rate benchmarking service.
The association represents more than 19,000 companies and aims to bring the confidential, closed user group to members in order to allow comparison of ocean carrier buy rates against peers.
“We are delighted to receive such strong endorsement and support from the voice of the European forwarding industry. Through this initiative CLECAT forwarder members can benefit from a service that enables them to buy, price and sell better in an increasingly challenging market,” Martin Dixon, director of Drewry Research Products.
The services is open to qualifying forwarders and non-vessel-operationg common carriers, and is designed to allow participants “to better compete in a marketplace ravaged by the Covid-19 pandemic.”
