Fagioli Delivers Ship Unloader

Heavy cargo carrier Fagioli has delivered an outsized ship unloader from Poland to Algeria.

The breakbulk component was accurately weighed prior to transport, to determine the exact center of gravity, using a load cell system supported by dedicated steel beams and stools. The ship unloader weighed 1,293 tonnes.

“The whole system was remotely controlled after weighing operations, the SUL was loaded onto a dedicated geared heavy-lift ship. Fagioli was also involved for the engineering design of grillage, and sea fastening onto ship deck,” a spokesperson for the firm said.

Based in Sant'Ilario d'Enza in the Italian region Emilia-Romagna, Fagioli specializes in engineering, heavy transportation and project logistics worldwide.
