Dutch Specialist Appoints Sea Horizon Offshore as Regional Rep

Jumbo Offshore, part of the Netherlands-headquartered Jumbo Group, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Sea Horizon Offshore, appointing it Jumbo’s representative in the Middle East.
The deal will enable the Dutch operator to support the region’s “considerable offshore expansion” in the coming years with topside construction, light flex-lay, mooring and module installation, and other “quayside-to-seabed” solutions.
The deal will target clients in the UAE, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia.
Sea Horizon’s scope will include commercial representation, supporting operations, and providing project management on behalf of Jumbo Offshore during project execution in the region.
Qatar-headquartered Sea Horizon Offshore specializes in offshore marine solutions, consultancy, vessel ownership and chartering in the Middle East. The company boasts a “vast network” of first-class partners” in the region, Jumbo said.
“Through this MoU, we will provide the Middle East region with greater access to safe, high-quality transport and installation (T&I) solutions,” said Danial Kaabi, CEO of Sea Horizon Offshore.
“Jumbo Offshore represents considerable added value to regional operators,” he added. “Currently, much of the transport and installation work carried out in the region is performed using a combination of barge and lifting vessel. Jumbo Offshore’s vessels are ideally suited to perform the entire T&I scope from a single platform, offering a significant boost to efficiency.”
Jumbo Offshore operates a fleet of fleet of specialized offshore installation and transportation crane vessels, including the 1,800-ton capacity Jumbo J-class vessels.
In relatively shallow water environments, Jumbo specializes in the installation of fixed facilities, such as piled foundations, templates, conductors, jackets, and topsides. In deep water and ultra-deepwater, Jumbo focuses more on subsea lifting of large and complex structures and foundations, including complete FPSO mooring system installations.
The Jumbo-SAL-Alliance will be exhibiting at Breakbulk Europe 2024, happening on 21-23 May in Rotterdam.
