Transport Across Arctic
Breakbulk carrier Mortrans has handled delivery of a pilot boat from Murmansk Port to Yamburg Port, Russia.
The cargo measured more than 16 meters long and weighed 30 tonnes. Transport involved navigating extreme conditions in the Arctic area of northern Russia.
“Mortrans was responsible for producing cradles, loading of the boat directly from water onto truck, installation on produced cradles, issuing of proper permits on federal and private roads and managing of the passing into City Yamburg,” a spokesperson for the firm said.
Based in Russia, Mortrans is a member of the Worldwide Project Consortium, or WWPC, which represents members in 78 countries. WWPC is an exhibitor at Breakbulk Europe.
