Ömür Kuyucuoglu Selected to Lead Base With Locations in Istanbul and Izmir
Noatum has launched new offices in Türkiye, a move aimed at strengthening the company’s maritime agency services across the Mediterranean region.
The base, led by Noatum Maritime, a business unit of Noatum – itself part of Abu Dhabi-headquartered AD Ports Group – will help expand Noatum’s reach in key regional markets, the company said.
The move is also aligned with AD Ports Group’s vision for international expansion and presence across major global markets and trade lanes already connected to, or offering strong prospects to connect to, the UAE, it added.
Ömür Kuyucuoglu has been named country manager for the new entity, which will serve mainly as a port and liner service offering a range of maritime services from its locations in Istanbul and Izmir.
“The establishment of our Türkiye office enables Noatum Maritime to expand its geographical reach, following our growth strategy and fostering deeper engagement with our existing clients,” said Terry Gidlow, CEO of Noatum Maritime.
“The office will seamlessly integrate into the broader Noatum ecosystem, aiming to deliver integrated maritime agency services better, faster and more cost efficiently, while also attracting new customers in the Türkiye and the East Mediterranean region. Ultimately, our aim is to serve the market as a top-5 global maritime service provider.”
Noatum is divided into three core business units: Noatum Maritime, Noatum Logistics and Noatum Terminals. Noatum Logistics’ East Europe, Türkiye and CIS office is already established in Istanbul.
The company was acquired by AD Ports Group in 2023.
Noatum is a regular exhibitor at Breakbulk events. The next event in the calendar is Breakbulk Americas 2024, taking place on 15-17 October at the George R Brown Convention Center in Houston.
