(MENA) New Facility Opened in Muscat
Pipeline Specialist STATS Group has announced plans to expand operations in Oman as it inaugurated a new breakbulk handling facility in the capital Muscat.
The new site was commissioned follwoimng the award of a master services agreement with Petroleum Development Oman to provide pipeline services in the country. The site will house a new workshop, storage and testing facility and follows a treling in the size of the group’s exisitng operation in Abu Dhabi.
“The PDO Master Service Agreement is an important contract … the new facility in Oman will help support this contract and having a local presence gives us a platform to extend our footprint in the Sultanate and wider Middle East region,” said Angus Bowie, STATS Group Middle East director.
Headquartered in Aberdeen, Scotland, STATS Group specialist pipeline technology services worldwide. Last year, the group signed an exclusive partnership agreement with Safari Oil & Gas, to open a permanent base in Saudi Arabia.
