Houston-Based Firm to Supply Wellheads, Tree Systems, Manifolds
TechnipFMC has signed a 20-year framework agreement with Chevron Australia to supply its Subsea 2.0 production systems for gas field developments off Australia’s northwest coast.
The deal covers the supply of wellheads, tree systems, manifolds, controls, flexible jumpers and flying leads, TechnipFMC said in a filing. The production systems will be manufactured at the firm’s dedicated Subsea 2.0 facility in Nusajaya, Malaysia.
“Subsea 2.0 is field-proven technology, which reduces engineering complexity and shortens lead times. We are delighted to have the opportunity to support Chevron's gas production needs under this long-term agreement,” said Jonathan Landes, president of subsea at TechnipFMC.
TechnipFMC, with its operational headquarters in Houston, operates a fleet of 18 vessels, including diving support vessels, construction support vessels and pipelayers.
The company is organized into two segments – subsea and surface technologies.
The company has also been selected by Woodside Energy to build and install flexible pipes and umbilicals for the Julimar Phase 3 development, offshore Western Australia.
The “significant” contract involves tying back four subsea gas wells in the Carnarvon Basin to the existing Julimar subsea infrastructure producing to the Wheatstone platform, using high pressure, high temperature flexible pipe and steel tube umbilicals.
For TechnipFMC, a “significant” contract is between US$75 million and US$250 million.
TechnipFMC and Chevron are members of the Breakbulk Global Shipper Network, a worldwide networking platform for executives operating at the top end of the project supply chain in sectors such as oil and gas, energy and renewables, mining and minerals, construction, forestry, industrial manufacturing and aerospace.
