Firms increase investment 18%
The threat of large-scale cyber-attacks is driving transport providers to invest in a range of new measures, according to analysis by security specialist Specops Software.
They firm estimates that investment from transport and storage firms in cyber security increased 18 percent in 2019 as threats mounted. The firm notes the increasing use of digital platforms poses a target for hackers with potential for "devastating" breaches.
“Key decision makers need to carefully understand and manage their online eco-system to ensure it consistently has the adequate defenses in place to protect against varying cyber threats. In addition to this, education as well as governance on cyber security for employees can play an essential role in protecting critical functions,” said Darren James from Specops Software.
