(Americas) Firefighting Equipment to California
Russian air freight specialist Volga-Dnepr Airlines has delivered a cargo of firefighting vehicles to California for the U.S. Federal Emergency Management Agency, or FEMA.
The critical delivery included two fire engines and a Ford F-250 pickup truck, weighing more than 20 tons in total. Vehicles were transported from Atlantic City, New Jersey, to San Francisco, California.
"For more than five years we have been cooperating with FEMA to guarantee fast, seamless and intact humanitarian deliveries to the regions hit by various natural disasters ... Up until now, we have operated over 80 FEMA charter flights delivering more than 3,000 tons of essential cargo and we are always on alert with our dedicated services, fleet and personnel,” said Ekaterina Andreeva, commercial director at Volga-Dnepr Airlines.
