Breakbulk shipping line Zeamarine has appointed Namir Khanbabi as its new regional director for Asia and Oceania.
Khanbabi will be based in the firm’s regional headquarters in Kuala Lumpur and will identify new market opportunities within the region. He is supported by the promotion of Alexander Furst to head of chartering Asia and Oceania.
“Namir brings over 25 years of experience and knowledge in the shipping, heavy-lift and Asian markets. He has a strong track record in team building, growing business and excellent customer service which will benefit our customers and the Zeamarine team,” Nicki Schumacher, COO of Zeamarine, notes.
Zeamarine was formed from the merger of Zeaborn-owned Rickmers Line and Maritime Holdings-owned Intermarine. It operates a fleet of about 75 vessels with lifting capacities up to 1,400 tonnes.
