GAC, OSL Form Logistics Alliance

Venture Will Offer Logistics Services From Base in Scandinavia

Breakbulk specialist GAC Group has joined forces with the newly-formed, Denmark-based Ocean Shipping and Logistics.

GAC said it had welcomed OSL, which began operations on 2 May, as a new member of its logistics network after the two companies entered into a global cooperation agreement. OSL was launched by maritime transport executives Peter Brun, Lars Kjærulf-Møller, Emil Hersbøll and Svend Heisselberg.

The “exciting new collaboration” would combine OSL’s experience and individual approach with the global reach and resources of GAC, and would offer joint logistics services from its base in Scandinavia or with shipments entering or leaving the region.

“This is a very exciting blend of experience and capability, for GAC, OSL and for customers,” said Stuart Bowie, GAC’s group vice president.

“Having OSL as a logistics partner complements the group’s Danish ship agency operation, GAC Denmark, which provides comprehensive support at ports throughout the country as well as specialist services for the energy sector.”

Established in 1956, the privately-owned GAC employs around 8,000 people in more than 300 offices worldwide. It is headquartered in Dubai.

GAC will be exhibiting at Breakbulk Europe 2022, taking place on 17-19 May at the Rotterdam Ahoy Convention Centre. To register for the world’s premier project cargo event, click on the link below.
