UT Freight Ships Santander Axes

(Europe-Asia) Shipment to Taichung

Cargo carrier UT Freight has delivered two steel mill axes from Spain to Taiwan.

The breakbulk items were loaded in Santander in the north of Spain and weighed 80 tonnes apiece. Cargo was shipped to Taipei, Taiwan, then transported by road to Taichung, 180 kilometers away.

“UT used a crane with a loading ability of 100 tonnes to hang and place the axes on two trailers and covered them with a plastic canvas to protect them from the rain,” a spokesperson for UTF said.

Registered in Taiwan, UTF operates offices in China and the U.S., and is a member of the WCA Projects network, a breakbulk association representing members in more than 100 countries.
