AAL Appoints Morland GM Americas
Multipurpose operator AAL has appointed Michael Morland as general manager Americas, as part of its ongoing North American expansion strategy.
With more than 17 years’ experience in the shipping, offshore, and maritime industries, Morland will spearhead AAL’s U.S. presence and promote its expanded shipping capabilities to serve project and commodity cargo customers.
“AAL has been serving the U.S. market for many years and we intend to reinforce our relationships with local shippers looking for trusted MPV options by drawing on AAL’s world-class fleet, in-house technical expertise and unrivaled global reputation for cargo care and customer service,” Morland said.
AAL is a member of Cypriot investment group Schoeller Holdings and operates a specialist multipurpose fleet with heavy-lift capabilities of up to 700 tonnes. The company provides breakbulk, heavy-lift and project cargo services worldwide to the energy, oil and gas, mining, forestry, leisure, agriculture and construction sectors.
