ALE Completes Record Lift in Texas
ALE has completed one of North America’s heaviest crane lifts, moving multiple modules for an oil and gas project in Texas.
The project involved lifting three modules, with a combined weight of 6,614 tonnes, using the AL.SK350, the world’s largest capacity land-based crane. The crane offered load moment of 354,000 tonnes per meter.
“The team and myself are very proud to be involved in such a landmark project and be the first to achieve such a heavy lift using this type of crane in the USA,” said Ronnie Adams, senior project manager at ALE.
Headquartered in Staffordshire in the UK, ALE provides heavy-lift services via a network of more than 30 regional offices around the world serving the oil and gas, civil, nuclear, offshore, renewables, petrochemical, ports, marine, minerals and metals and mining sectors.
