Transport to Sohar Port
Logistics firm Altius has transported a catalyst tube assembly and outlet hot collectors from Yantai, China, to Oman.
The breakbulk shipment weighed 500 tonnes in total and measured 1,260 cubic meters. Cargo was split into two shipments, with the first batch consisting of 10 units and the second load including 12 units.
“Scope of work undertaken by Altius included arranging special transport from the manufacturer's site in the Yantai region due to its sheer size, port handling, storage, and arranging the ocean freight of these two consignments as breakbulk cargo from Tianjin and Zhangjiagang ports on a very short time,” a spokesperson for Altius said.
Altius is a member of the Project Logistics Alliance, which represents independent freight forwarders in heavy bulk industries worldwide.
