(Russia/CIS) Delivery by Road from Almaty
Cargo handler A.R.T. Logistics has delivered a series of modular electric substations to West Kazakhstan from the capital Almaty.
The outsized units weighed 287 tonnes each and measured 5 meters wide and 4 meters high. The consignment was transported by road in 10 truckloads.
“Occupying almost the entire width of the access roads and crouching under power lines and engineering facilities [the project] triggered real interest among local citizens,” a spokesperson for A.R.T. Logistics said.
Based in Kazakhstan, the firm is a member of the WCA network, a breakbulk association which connects project cargo forwarders globally.
