Expansion Part of Broader Fleet Growth That Includes LakerMax and F500 Vessels

BBC Chartering has announced the addition of BBC NEPTUNE, a 40,000-deadweight-ton (DWT) handysize bulk carrier, to its dry bulk division.

Built by Jiangmen Nanyang Ship Engineering in Guangdong, China, the 179.9-meter-long, 30-meter-wide vessel is a sister ship to the BBC APOLLO and BBC CERES and is equipped with four cranes.

The ship is owned and managed by BBC Chartering’s parent company, Briese.

BBC NEPTUNE brings BBC Chartering’s handysize bulker fleet to ten, with a fourth vessel in the series, the BBC PLUTO, scheduled to join later this year.

The expansion comes amid broader fleet growth that includes the company’s LakerMax and F500-class vessels.
