Blue Bell Shipping has delivered a shipment of oversized pressure vessels and distillation columns from Jebel Ali Port in the UAE to Umm Qasr Port in Iraq.
The largest of the pieces weighed 155 tons and measured 71 meters in length, Aditya Menon, Blue Bell Shipping’s commercial director, told Breakbulk.
The Dubai-based project forwarder managed the operation end to end, including collection from the fabrication yard at Jebel Ali, inland transport to the port, the charter of a dedicated vessel and final delivery to Umm Qasr.
“As our project volumes continue to grow, we’ve stayed disciplined about how we execute, focusing on using our in-house engineering team, reliable partners and clear accountability rather than scale for scale’s sake,” Menon said.
“These core values are part of what has enabled our growth in the first place!”
Blue Bell Shipping, established in the UAE in 1987, is one of the Middle East’s fastest growing project forwarders, with revenue growth of more than 500% in the last three years, according to Menon.
The company, which boasts 15 strategic locations across the GCC, Central Asia and Australia, announced in January that it had relocated its corporate headquarters to a new site in Barsha Heights, central Dubai.
