Appointed Agents for French Cable-laying Vessel
Cargo shipping line Blue Water has transported breakbulk components for the cable-laying vessel Île d’Aix to Brest in France.
The project involved transport of outsized equipment for the 151-meter cable layer while the vessel was in dry dock. Equipped with a helideck, gantry and four cranes, the vessel is owned and operated by Alcatel Submarine Networks.
“In this connection, we were in charge of coordinating receipt, storage and delivery of ship spares and supplies, crew transfers and further agency assistance to the vessel,” said Alexandre Blanc, Blue Water Brest.
Blue Water operates 55 offices in more than 26 countries worldwide and is headquartered in Esbjerg on the west coast of the Jutland peninsula in southwest Denmark.
