Breadbox Launches New Base in Cyprus

Office to Oversee Breakbulk Mover’s Mediterranean to Africa Shipping Lines

Breadbox Shipping Lines has launched a new office in Cyprus that the Netherlands-headquartered breakbulk specialist will use to exclusively manage its commercial activities from the Mediterranean to western, southern and eastern Africa.

The base, slated to start operations on July 1, will also be a springboard to explore new opportunities, the company said.

Heading the Breadbox Med office will be Yusuf Yusufoglu, currently the company’s senior trade manager – MPP services. “Yusuf’s appointment underscores Breadbox’s commitment to maintaining a robust presence in cargo traffic from the Mediterranean to West Africa,” it said.

Breadbox Shipping Lines, founded in 2001, currently operates 1-2 sailings per month from the Mediterranean to West Africa. Its fleet, which comprises owned and time-chartered vessels up to 30,000 dwt, is equipped to handle a wide range of cargoes including breakbulk, IMO, bulk and project cargo across its African destinations.

Breadbox is exhibiting at Breakbulk Europe on 21-23 May at Rotterdam Ahoy. You can meet the team at Stand 2E25.
