Carriers Plan Pacific Vessel Sharing
Shipping firms Hapag-Lloyd, MSC, Hyundai Merchant Marine and ONE Enter Vessel have signed a vessel-sharing agreement focused on Asia to West Coast South America services.
The consortium plan to reorganize joint services connecting Korea, China, Japan and Taiwan with the West Coast of Mexico, Peru, Chile, Columbia.
“The new service offerings will enhance our coverage and provide fast transit times between the major ports in Asia and the West Coast ports of Mexico, Central America and South America,” a Hapag-Lloyd spokesperson said.
The port rotation is still subject to alteration but the services are expected to operate on three loops beginning at the beginning of April.
