Freight forwarder C.H. Robinson has transported a set of four large module units from the manufacturer’s site to port in the U.S. for onward shipping.
The breakbulk modules weighed up to 353 tonnes and the largest measured over 43 meters in length. Cargo volume measured more than 11,600 cubic meters in total and weighed over 965 tonnes.
“Due to the size and weight of the modules, SPMTs were required to get the units to the terminal. Although the distance between the manufacturer and the port was only a kilometre, moving such massive equipment takes extra time and planning,” a spokesperson for C.H. Robinson said.
