Chirey Moves Durban Transformers

Logistics group Chirey Projects has delivered a set of transformers from Hong Kong to Durban, South Africa.

The over-dimensional units weighed 310 tonnes each and measured 10 meters long, 4 meters wide and 5 meters high. The project marked the sixth breakbulk delivery for Chirey this year.

“Chirey’s project team was responsible for all services including the inland transport, port handling, customs clearance, and chartering the heavy lift vessel,” a spokesperson for the firm said.

Registered in Hong Kong, Chirey is a member of the Project Logistics Alliance, which connects prequalified project connects forwarders in 88 countries.
