Investment in Modular Axle Lines Strengthens Its Capacity for Complex Operations

Collett & Sons has purchased 36 Goldhofer THP/SL-L modular axle lines, marking the company’s first acquisition of the German firm’s modular equipment.

The investment signals a strategic expansion of Collett’s trailer fleet and is expected to strengthen the firm’s capacity for complex heavy haulage operations. The new axle lines are due to be delivered and operational by August 2025.

The THP/SL-L series is known for its lightweight design and high payload capability. Each axle line can carry up to 26.1 tonnes while weighing just 2.77 tonnes, offering flexibility and stability across a wide range of heavy haulage operations.

“We’re delighted to see Collett & Sons add the Goldhofer THP/SL-L modular axle lines to their fleet,” said Mark Howe, UK sales representative at Goldhofer. “The versatility and high-performance are an ideal fit for the challenging projects Collett takes on.”

David Collett, managing director at Collett, said the decision to invest in Goldhofer equipment aligned with the company’s operations. “We look forward to seeing these axles in action on the road this August.”

Collett & Sons and Goldhofer are exhibitors at Breakbulk Europe.
