Magni 24.11 from Modena
Cargo sepcialsit Compass Forwarding has delivered a telescopic handler and accessories from Italy to Baffin Island in the Canadian Arctic.
The breakbulk project involved loading the Magni 24.11 handler in Modena, Italy, and overseeing transport to the Port of Montreal. From there, the unit was transferred to special vessel service to Baffin Island.
“This was specialized cargo that had to reach Montreal to be loaded on one of the last vessels calling the Arctic region this season. Failure could have delayed the job until summer 2020. As logisticians, we love moves where we are presented a nearly impossible challenge,” said Richard J. Shelala, director at Compass.
Based in New York City, Compass Forwarding provides air and ocean logistics for oversized heavy machinery, including: telescopic handlers, metal fabrication machinery, aerospace components, and oil/gas equipment.
